About Catholic Charities of NY: visit site

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of NY supports the needs of New Yorkers in many ways. The nonprofit protects and nurtures children and youth, feeds the hungry and shelters the homeless. Strengthening families and resolving crises is another important part of their mission.  They also aim to support the physically and emotionally challenged. Finally, they welcome and integrate immigrants and refugees.

This caring work seeks to uphold the dignity of each person in the likeness of God. It extends back to the 19th century with the founding of charitable agencies by religious communities, clergy and laity. Today, The Catholic Charities of NY is a vibrant network of agencies that are independent in structure and organization. However, they are united by a common vision of human dignity and responsibility for the most vulnerable of our New York neighbors. This network of agencies has evolved into our federation of 90 agencies.

Catholic Charities helps those of all religions or no religion at all, and people of all nationalities. The common criteria among all those we help is: human need.
