A Prayer for Veterans

Veteran’s Day is November 11th, 2017. It is an important day to honor and show appreciation for the members of our military, past and present. The Leo House would like to thank all those special men and women who have served our country or continue to serve today. We remember you and pray for you on Veteran’s Day, and every other day of the year as well. Veterans are good, law-abiding Americans. They are the kind of patriots that fly an American flag from a steel flagpole in their backyard… we salute you!

There are many ways to honor veterans on this special day. You can attend a memorial service or donate to some of the wonderful organizations that support our veterans. Other ideas include writing a letter to a veteran or saying a prayer for veterans for their safety and wellbeing.

A Prayer for Veterans

Dear Lord,

Today we honor our veterans, worthy men and women who gave their best when they were called upon to serve and protect their country.

We pray that you will bless them for their unselfish service in the continual struggle to preserve our freedoms, our safety, and our country’s heritage, for all of us.

Bless them abundantly for the hardships they faced, for the sacrifices they made for their many different contributions to America’s victories over tyranny and oppression.

We respect them, we thank them, we honor them, we are proud of them. We pray that you will watch over these special people and bless them with peace and happiness.
