During the beginning of spring each year we celebrate Easter. How appropriate, that as our world awakens after a winter slumber, we celebrate the rebirth and renewal of Jesus Christ when he rose from the dead three days after his crucifixion. As we reflect on the sacrifices Jesus made so that we may live in God’s love, let us think about how we can seek God’s presence in all that we do this week. Below are Easter Bible Verses to help you get into an Easter mood.
Easter Bible Verses for Reflection
You believe because you can see…
Happy are those who have not seen and yet believe.
“Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again,” Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; If you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”
Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, “Hosanna!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path”
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me, yet not my will, but yours be done.”
“Jesus said, “Father forgive them, for they know not what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.”
“So Joseph bought some linen cloth, took down the body, wrapped it in the linen, and placed it in a tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.”
“He is not here; he is risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee.”
May you enjoy your Easter and may your life be as colorful as all the Easter eggs in your basket!
