A Father’s Day Prayer for Guidance

Dear God, we pray that You will strengthen the fathers and grandfathers of our nation to know that they can count on You to help them lead and protect those that are dependent on them.

Let them know that they are not alone in upholding their responsibilities to provide for and support those under their care. Affirm the value and worth of their work as fathers and do not let them doubt whether they are loved by You, their Heavenly Father.

Show them signs of how much of a difference they can make to those around them, no matter how big or small the assignment. When challenging times push these fathers beyond their limits, assure them that You are present to help them rise to new limits they never dreamed possible.

Instill in these fathers a sense of joy and playfulness that help bring a family closer. When plans or dreams do not come to fruition, open their eyes to see and be grateful for the beautiful things in life they already have within their grasp.

We pray that You will continue to empower churches, organizations, and individuals to invest in fathers and fatherhood for the sake of our children. We pray for strength, protection, wisdom, and discernment to help them through whatever trials they may be facing.
