Gateway to the Arts Show Opening Reception June 2018

Start off your 2018 Summer Art Season with Gateway to the Arts Show coming soon to The Leo House at 332 West 23rd St. at the beginning of historic Chelsea Art District. The Leo House is proud to host two opening receptions on June 9th and 10th from 12-6PM and the show will remain open to the public at The Leo house until November 9th, 2018. Make this event a must-see stop during your tour of artist’s galleries during West Chelsea Artist’s Open Studios and any other time until November. We are open 24/7 and we will be rotating art for your enjoyment.

Artists Featured at Gateway to the Arts Show

“The Gateway to the Arts Show” will be reveal both religious and nonreligious art from over 20 artists including Ailene Fields, Nina Edwards, Anne Bachelier, Frances Maravelea, Salvador Dali, Ellen Gaube, Veronika Doljenkova, Glen Goodenough, Jordan Ottrando, Jason Coletta, Cleber Martins, Alissa Siegal, Marian Doherty, Missy Costanza, Liya Ali, Magdalena Burgos, David McCutcheon, Jayne Dion, Kate Van Wilgen, Lisa Lamontanaro, and will run through November 9th.

Gateway to the Arts Celebrity Juror List

We are excited to announce our esteemed juror list for the “Gateway to the Arts” show. Jurors include Neil Zukerman, Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Vanessa Williams, Kathrine Narducci, and Leo Feroleto. For more detailed bios of the jurors, please see below.

Neil Zukerman

Neil Zukerman is the owner of CFM Gallery, formerly in Soho and now located in Chelsea. He was a Vatican Invitee for Apocalisse L’Ultima Revoluzione curated by the Casse delle Esposizioni – Salon Sistino of the Vatican Museum. He is also the publisher of artist illustrated books, author, and co-author of forthcoming catalog raisonne of The Oil Paintings of Lenor Fini.

Timothy Cardinal Dolan

Timothy Cardinal Dolan is an American cardinal prelate of the Catholic Church. Appointed by Pope Benedict XVI, Dolan serves as the tenth and current Archbishop of New York. Time Magazine named Dolan one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World” in 2012. Cardinal Dolan was the honoree of our annual Pope Leo XIII Fundraising Award Gala in 2017.

Vanessa Williams

Vanessa Williams is one of the most respected and multi-faceted performers in the entertainment industry today. Having sold millions of records worldwide, Vanessa has also scored numerous #1 and Top 10 hits on various Billboard Album and singles charts including Pop, Dance, R&B, Adult Contemporary, Holiday, Latin, Gospel and Jazz. In addition, her critically acclaimed work in film, television, recordings and the Broadway stage has been recognized by every major industry award affiliate including 4 Emmy nominations, 17 Grammy nominations (of which 11 were for her individually), a Tony nomination, 3 SAG award nominations, 7 NAACP Image Awards and 3 Satellite Awards. Her platinum single “Colors of the Wind,” from the Disney film Pocahontas, won the Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe for Best Original Song.

A strong advocate for equal rights, especially concerning the gay community and minorities, Vanessa was therefore honored with the Human Rights Campaign “Ally for Equality” Award for her humanitarian contributions. She also achieved a career pinnacle star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007. Her autobiography, “You Have No Idea,” was co-written with her mother Helen Williams. Furthermore, it was a New York Times Best Seller in 2012. Vanessa returned to Broadway in 2014 in the musical “After Midnight.” She co-starred with Cicely Tyson and Cuba Gooding, Jr in “Trip To Bountiful,” which was the #1 in 2013. She appears regularly on E-Vine line promoting her fashion line, V. By Vanessa Williams. Vanessa is the mother of four – Melanie, Jillian, Devin and Sasha. Her charitable endeavors are many and varied, embracing and supporting such organizations as Special Olympics and several others.

Kathrine Narducci

Kathrine Narducci is a contemporary New York artist. She is also a featured artist in Art Hearts Fashion New York, Los Angeles and Miami with Six Summit Gallery. She is an American actress that has been featured in the hit HBO series “The Sopranos,” and a feature film “A Bronx Tale” with Robert DeNiro, and upcoming Netflix release “The Irishman” directed by Martin Scorcese.

Leo Feroleto

Leo Feroleto is the Art Curator for The Leo House and the Gateways to the Arts Show. He is a Curator of Art Hearts Fashion NYC, LA, Miami. He also is a Director for Ailene Fields Studios, CFM Gallery and owner of Six Summit Gallery.
